How long are NYRequirements.com certificates valid?
The “Infection Control & Barrier Precautions” certificate is valid for four years, but it must be kept on file for six years in the event your license is audited.
The “Child Abuse: New York Mandated Reporter Training” certificate is a one-time requirement for initial licensure. Once the course has been successfully completed, a permanent copy of the certificate would need to be maintained in the event of a license audit.
Are the courses approved for my profession with the NYSED?
Yes. Both the “Child Abuse: New York Mandated Reporter” and “Infection Control & Barrier Precautions” have been approved by the New York State Department of Education for numerous professions. For a list of these professions, please visit our “About Us” page or the New York State Education Department’s “Infection Control & Barrier Precautions”, “Education for Prescribing Controlled Substances”, and “Child Abuse: New York Mandated Reporter” links.
